Chap 10

Acer meets ASR

Khushi was pacing downing the stair. Infact she was trying to go up to his cabin and take her bag but her guts betrayed her. She was pacing up and down when she eventually bumped into Aman.

Ouch!

"Oops I am so sorry Khushi ji" Aman said holding her hand.

Khushi looked at him and rubbed her foot which was stumped by him.

"Whats wrong?" you look tensed? Aman asked her

I am fine Arnav Ji. Mera matlab hai aman ji.

Aman raised his eyebrows.

"You called ASR Arnav ji?" aman questioned her

"Haan to?" she replied jerking her shoulders.

Aman nodded no "just asking"

Aman was about to go to ASrs room when khushi called him "Aman ji ek minute"

Aman turned back.

Khushi came forward fiddling with her dupatta "Who baat yeh hai ki Acer is stuck"

WHAT? WHERE? HOW?

Khushi gestured with her eyes pointing towards Arnav's chamber "Wahan" (there) inside the cabinet. She pouted.

Aman: Cabinet? Khushi what are you saying? ASR is stuck in a cabinet?

Khushi: He has been locked.

Aman: LOCKED? ASR is locked inside a cabinet?

Khushi: Haan Aman Ji

Aman was about to run to his room when khushi pulled him.

Aman: What?

Khushi: arnav ji ko mat bataiyega please.

Aman was hell confused now.

Hi! Aman Bhaiya

Khushi turned to see a sweet teenager with a equally cute girl in her lap entering AR.

Aman waved her and side hugged. She pulled the baby's cheeks and kissed her saying "you are looking so pretty gul"

Girl: Where is your boss?

Aman: I don't know. He looked at khushi who was staring at them now.

Girl: What do you mean by you don't know?

Aman: Well lets go to his chamber and check.

Khushi smiled at the girl and touched Gul's cheeks.

Gul frowned a little when khushi did that.

Khushi immediately pulled back and stayed rooted where she was.

Arnav called in the reception.

Khushi was standing right there so she picked up.

COME NOW

Khushi: Haan?

She looked here and there.

Khushi: Arnav ji, no one is here.

ARE YOU A TALKING STATUE? COME TO MY CABIN RIGHT NOW.

Khsuhi almost tripped in panick and hoped two three stairs together and was about to reach to his room, when he saw aman coming out taking gul in his lap.

Khushi gulped sensing the other girl would be inside his chamber and'her thoughts flew to the incident that had just happened yesterday. The memories were still raw in her mind.

She gulped few more times, feeling disgusted about the fact that he can be so mean that he can have those things with such a small girl?

Finally after gathering some courage she Knocked.

COME IN

Khushi entered without looking at him and turned to close the door. She turned and saw the girl sitting on his lap munching chocolates.

Khushi immediately looked down.

Girl: Bhaiya! Is she new?

Khushi immediately looked up.

Arnav who was a little busy typing something on his mobile looked at khushi but without saying anything he continued to type.

The girl waved her hand in the air and introduced herself "Hi! I am Misha and you are?"

Khushi smiled at her throwing an apology look towards arnav who was still busy and did not even notice her looks.

"I am khushi, khushi kumara gupta"

Misha immediately stopped chewing her chocolate making an "O" with her mouth, gulping down the chocolate lump, measuring Khushi top to bottom finally said Hi! And wave before her.

Misha's POV "ok so this is Khushi, I think bhaiya was blabbering her name only yesterday night. Interesting" she licked her rest of the chocolate while throwing an amazed look towards Arnav, who was still very busy to understand his sister's thoughts.

Arnav still looking at his phone said "Where is your note pad?"

Meow!

Khushi's eyes widened

Misha frowned

"I am asking you Miss Gupta, where the hell is your note pad?" arnav barked.

Meow!!

Misha looked at Khushi and khushi gulped in fear.

Arnav shot a pathetic look towards her "What?"

"What the hell are you trying to do since morning taking out kitten's voice Miss Gupta?

Meow!!!

Arnav has now lost it. He slipped his chair back making misha stand and marched towards her and grabbed her shoulders.

"Do you think this is a joke Miss Gupta?"

Khushi immediately nodded no

Meow!!!

Khushi closed her eyes practically collapsing in his arms.

Kushi's POV "Khushi tu to aaj gaya"

Arnav turned back and looked at Misha.

Misha pointed towards his cabinet.

Meow!

Arnav turned to look at khushi who stood rooted there closing her eyes tightly.

Khushi could feel him loosening his grip on her shoulder.

She opened her eyes and saw him fuming in anger.

Miss. Khushi. Kumari. Gupta. Pray to god that I don't find a kitten inside that cabinet where you have kept your bag ok? Otherwise you have had it..he said angrily and turned towards the cabinet and matched past her.

Khushi clutched her dupatta and looked at his retreating back.

He opened his cabinet and found a cute little kitten looking at him and meowing at him lovingly.

WHAT THE?

Misha: Awe!

UNBELIEVABLE.

He barked at the Kitten "GET OUT". I said get out right now.

The kitten was about to jump in fear when Khushi shouted "Arnav Ji, she Acer will get hurt"

Before the kitten could jump, Arnav caught hold of her.

He could fell her shivering in his arms due to fear. Just like khushi was shivering hugging him tight that night.

Arnav closed his eyes "Why did you bring here in the office? Damn it?"

Khushi gather some courage and spoke "because I couldnot keep her at home all alone.

"I DON'T CARE MISS GUPTA, get her out RIGHT NOW"

Arnav Ji I cant. What if she escapes and get run down by a car?

WHY SHOULD I THINK ABOUT IT? I DON'T CARE WHETHER SHE IS RUN DOWN A CAR OR NOT. HER EXSISTANCE DOESNOT MATTER TO ME MISS GUPTA.

But it matters to me Arnav ji. I have adopted her, I cannot leave her like that. She pleaded.

He was silent for sometime looking at her, holding the delicate form in his palm. He looked at the kitty and closed his eyes. He thought about something then replied.

Fine, keep her with the gaurds in the office during your office hours. Don't you dare bring her inside the office.

The gaurds will take care of her.

And this is the last time I am sparing you for doing such crazy things in the office. I don't want any nonsense further. Do you understand that? He said in an authoritive voice.

Khushi came forward and picked Acer. Arnav immediately turned his back not to show his emotions to Khushi which he was going through.

Khushi came and stood infront of him and said "thanks Arnav ji, thanks for understanding"

GET OUT NOW. He barked.
